 Our Pastor

The Reverend Wilma J. Hastings is a native Atlantian.  She completed her undergraduate work at Beulah Heights Bible College, Atlanta, GA.  Rev. Hastings is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, GA with a Master of Arts in Ministry emphasis in Christian Education.  Reverend Hastings is near completion of a Master of Divinity at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio.  Rev. Hastings live under the scripture Luke 18:1, “Men ought to always pray and never give up!”

Reverend Hastings was called into the ministry in 1995, and became licensed and ordained in the Baptist denomination.  Rev. Hastings is assigned to the United Methodist Conference; she pastored part-time four years Hosanna United Methodist Church in the Griffin District.  Rev. Hastings is a Chaplain intern for New Century Hospice.  Rev. Hastings is a strong advocate of the Great Commission.  Therefore, she reminds believers that we are all commissioned to “Go” move throughout the land and demonstrate our faith and Christianity through serving others in our community and our cities. 

Reverend Hastings is retired employee with the Department of the Army and United States Army Reserve Command, Fort McPherson, GA, Reverend Hastings is married to Reverend Elliott Hastings and they reside in Jonesboro, Georgia.  They have 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren and 1 loving grandson at home with the Lord.

(Matt 28:18-20 & Matt 22:36-40) This mission is achieved through vital congregations that equip and empower people to be Disciples of Jesus Christ in their homes and communities around the world.
